i accidently slept in because my alarm didnt go off, go fig. and i wanted to get in early to get some over time under my DAAAAAAMN belt. but its ok, im ok, because its a nice day outside. and thats all that matters in the life of me. so go screw.

well i didnt find anything YOU ingrates would care about, but i didnt find something really cool. Now, for some time Honda has been openly working on a biped robot project. they've made the P1, the P2, and now the P3. its really amazing how it works. the Honda one is live sized. the thing can maneuver stairs, but up and down. Hell the thing can eve play soccer! but new to the robo race, is my favorite company EVER, Sony. they have released word on a robot they call the "SDR-3X". This one stands only 20 inches tall, and in the Sony mentality, its not made for work, or exploration, its made to entertain! way to go Sony *friendly punch to the shoulder* i love this company. it can do everything, including dance! They goal is for it to be able to walk into a room, and detect people. once it does that, it uses face scanning software to determine who you are. the human face is like a finger print, the the fact that with 5 points on the human face, you can determine who the person is. there are none alike. so, expect in the future, Sony to make midget robots tat will dance, bring you drinks, and sing for you. dont worry, not remote control necessary, its all voice command. it can also judge range from an object with its infra red sensors, and can even feel the texture of things with its Contact sensors. it has 8 of them all over its body, including on the feet. (i assume for detection of slippery surfaces, like ice or VOMIT) the whole thing is driven by 2, 64 Bit RISC Processors. you in the electronics/computer field know thats a buff piece of hardware, and will have no problem number crunching variables. I was really excited when sony announced they were in the race for a biped. i mean, they practically started it with AIBO. (the robotic dog or cat that sony made that cost 2,000 bucks) so i KNEW they were going to jump in to this fight. the picture on the right is the sony robots dancing at Robodex 2000.
